Arbeitsweise Die zu filtrierende Flüssigkeit strömt durch einen Verteiler in den Schmutzbehälter. Die Schmutzpartikel setzen sich auf dem Boden ab (Sedimentation). [ Zu den technischen Daten FU ] Manner of operation The contaminated liquid passes into a foul basin, into which the liquid to be filtered flows and that is closed on its upper side by a solid filter mat. The rising liquid is cleaned by passing through the filter and the filtrate passes above the filter into a collection container. With this filter device the liquid to be cleaned no longer passes through the filter from above to below under gravity, but from below to above with the rising liquid level in the container. This results in the major part of the dirt particles in the liquid to be cleaned settling to the floor of the container and not settling on the filter surface. The coarse and fine sediment that settles on the container floor is continuously and slowly scraped off by a discharge device and carried to the sloping removal wall. Thus up to 90 % of the impurities are retained between the intake basin and the overflow basin. There is overall much slower adhesion to the filter surface than with conventional filter devices, with which the liquid to be cleaned flows though the filter from above to below. The filter can be a fabric in the conventional manner. However, dirt particles adhering to the underside of the filter with the passage of time can be removed with one or more stripper brushes. Moreover a sediment and chip transport device can be provided to remove the fouling from the device. In order to completely rid the filter belt of dirt particles it is brushed off with stripper brushes and cleaned with a rinsing device. The dirty liquid is pumped into the foul tank and hence back into the circuit.
The transmission characteristics of the special filter fabric and the degree of cleaning do not only depend on the structure of the fabric of the filter belt. The layer of dirt that forms below the filter belt acts as an additional filter medium and influences the degree of filtration.
